Michelle de la Vega's 250 sq ft home.

Meet Michele,

I want her to be my neighbor and we haven't even met yet.
See this beautiful 250 sq ft house?

It was transformed from this old garage.

With a few extra sq feet added.

A fireplace is a must.
Love those boulder/moonrocks on the side..they could double as seating.

Small corner for the "selection" of books.
Some form of art on the wall would give personality.

A clawfoot tub.......oooooh yesssss please.
Skylight that would double as an observatory at night...perfect.

A simple kitchen where there is just enough space for food.
I would give away my salad spinner in a second.
We already have a camping stove. Check.
Vitamix blender. Check.

Here is the loft.
That angle is a bit tight for me.
I would want to sleep on the ground level, unless there was a rope swing for leg cramps.

Nice large doors that open out to nature.
This increases your living by thousands of square feet with no vacuuming.

This is the blog I found this jewel.

We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.

Back in the days when sleepovers were prevalent and the influx of beds was always changing due to the boys living situation, we bought this IKEA Futon/Sofa. With IKEA's compression methods, it easily slid into our van and my daughters room was instantly transformed into the New York loft she had dreamed of. It's hard to imagine in this 2800 sq foot house there is no where to put it except in the basement. After taking a poll, everyone agreed that it was not comfortable to sleep on.  The worst part about this piece of furniture is that it is a beast to move from floor to floor. The swinging frame goes from bed to couch with a tilt and you are wedged in a stairway.

We are waiting for the new owner to arrive.
Duct tape has removed most signs of dog hair on the black cover.

Here it goes.  Off to a loving college dorm. Look, I even gave him a tip.....take it away.........

Honey, I blew up the house.

firemen carrying fans
I am a 100% confident in that split second when I was debating whether to turn the knob off on my gas oven, that if my house blew up, I would be totally fine with it. My daughter and one dog were outside, and my other Bassett Hound who was experiencing difficulty moving his back legs was at my side.

Instead of leaving this earth with my dog, I dialed 911. Minutes later we had 4 squad cars, a rescue truck and my daughters worst social nightmare of the ladder truck with the loud siren heading our way.

The chief came up to me and said, "I want to let you know we open closets and doors to check for gas, is that O.K?  With having just moved one of our son's stuff home yesterday there were futons and sheets everywhere.  Go right in...see the house that is so called "empty", oozing with junk everywhere.

Today provided a strange incentive for me to immediately put the futon in my living room
on craig s list and my enjoy my days with my long-eared Basset, Disney.

Storing food without a refrigerator

Jihyun Ryou developed a method of storing food
by mixing the temperatures of fruits and vegetables to create a balance that keeps
them fresh without the use of a refrigerator.
The food creates art on the wall.
Jihyun says it best when she says she is trying to bring food in front of your eyes.

Narnia come true

Every house no matter what size should have a wardrobe that leads to a secret room.

I see small houses everywhere I look

Watching an episode of Breaking Bad.
Green painted house

Waiting for results at a hospital there was this colorful painting

I didn't see it at the time, but my mom pointed out that
the person in the painting looked like me waiting to move in.

Red,orange,yellow,green and pink front doors

This orange painted front door is so bold.

A yellow door is so welcoming. Nice touch with the runner.

A pink front door works on this cute entry.

I love all the windows encasing this red front door.

Maybe a pink front door is more of a southern color.

This mint green front door is bold with it's metal accents,
diagonal wood and black numbers.

If there will be words on the orange front door, how about "hello"?

This blazing red front door is on a house for sale in Minneapolis right now as we speak.
I would live in this house....
but paint the door yellow and write "please bring chocolate" on the front.
