Monday Multiple Series # 38-The show must go on...somewhere else

I loved playing with puppets as a kid.
Along the way more puppets were given to me and collected from garage sales.

I reduced the huge plastic bin down to my original collection.
The rest were donated to the Children's Home In Mineeapolis.

All seven fit into a plastic shoe box.
I probably could've gotten by with just keeping the monkey...maybe next round.

Magic Art Reproducer

Perhaps an estate find years ago was in memory of my childhood trying to get in art school.

This is like a portable overhead projector!

After assembly it is really nothing than a piece of metal with an angled mirror.

There are no longer fears of giving away this useless vintage item to Salvation Army.

Coupon relapse

Went into Office Max with my $10 off $30 purchase coupon.
The printer was out of black that cost $19.99.
To fulfill ten additional dollars I added:
rubber bands,
pencil lead,
and yes, a silicone salad dressing dispenser.

When house hunting, ALWAYS use google map

Lovely tudor house...

...with a long sidewalk

Fancy tangle town address...

...with a QUICK entrance to the highway.

Press on

Lately house hunting has been a string of failures.
Keep trying, press on.

Just my luck

It was me and the birthday Boy.

I could've wished for world peace, a Bassett Hound ranch, no calorie chocolate.
The first thought that popped into my head had specific square footage.

Monday Multiple Series # 37-You are what you eat

A friend who is putting her house up for sale said that the most important place in her house she keeps clean for a showing is the refrigerator. She claimed that prospective buyers will always open it .

I headed straight to my refrigerator and started wiping down the shelves.
Straightening the food vault is very therapeutic and revealing.

One can never have enough fresh salsa.

Costco just started carrying my favorite humus, but I had no idea there was another one behind the leftover stir fry.

The treasured water bottle always gets top shelf status.
I had it through my boot camp class a year ago and have reused it everyday since.

The almond milk and cow milk...there is only one, so no issues there.

Multiple sour creams...that must be genetic.
From cheesy potatoes, to homemade mashed potatoes it is a critical staple in the refrigerator.
But three...hmmm....that deserves an eyebrow raise for sure.

House Hunt Series #1: Standing room only

Chalk it up to my great small house taste.
When we drove up to view this listing we were greeted by two other realtors racing to get in.

Check out the unusual placement of this piano in the basement.
On one side of the wall it was used as a coat rack.

The middle part went THROUGH the wall to the other side.
This house sold the day after we looked at it.
The vintage red keys were probably a factor in reducing the cost $15,000.

Six house staging flops

This past weekend was spent combing through 120 listings.
Here are six tips on how NOT to stage a house.

1). Limit the assortment of light fixtures.

2). Stain glass windows are not attractive when broken.

3). No mixing of stripes, flowers, woodland borders, dream catchers, mirrors, stuffed dolls, and animal posters.

4). Don't reinforce the basement has moisture issues.

4). Follow the code book rule on splash guard heights.

5). Never advertise that you have a guard dog.

Another week, another donation.

Business as usual at this clearing house.
One Victoria's Secret tote arrived the same day one got donated.

A birthday celebration helmet is bought and bagged within 24 hours.

This carved souvenir has almost lasted 20 years in our house with no purpose.

As Idina Menzel would say. "Let it go, Let it go."

Easy come, investor go

Went up on market Saturday.
Bought sight unseen from an investor Saturday.
I didn't have a chance.

Monday Multiple Series # 35-Polar vortex tools

The good new is that we don't have to get rid of a snow blower because we don't own one.
The bad news is that somehow multiple shovels adorn our garage wall.
The current polar vortex helped with the front one, and now we have four.

Like our leaf bag fortress in the fall, here is our snow wall.
