The past may determine my future

I came across this stock photo at work yesterday.
Maybe all those cardboard boxes and forts in the woods could explain who I am today?

Monday Multiple Series # 58- On the shelf

Boxes of raisins waiting to be selected over a handful of chocolate chips.
I ate one.
I was too busy raking bags of leaves to downsize this weekend.

Leaf whiner

With just the two of us, I was excited to order the smallest garbage bins.
The green one on the left is large and the other two on the right are the small size.
They are not even half full on pick-up day.

But as the leaves begin to fall and we have our beginning tally of 17 bags, the large bin will never, ever, ever be enough. 55 more bags to tie last year.

See this house?
It is a small stucco house that backs up to a golf course.
It is still for sale and I will tell you why, by showing you excerpts from the truth and housing report.

It could be the simple fact that:
Or the common problem of:
Who needs fresh air anyway?

O.K, this is the deal breaker.

Monday Multiple Series # 57- Concrete plans for the future

I previously bought these 27 12x12 pavers to help my dog climb our steps.

At 5:15 Sunday evening, those cement pavers sat in the corner of our backyard. The whole summer I have searched for utilitarian uses for those hunks of cement. I marched out and took this photo, then listed them on the "free" Craigslist as the sun was setting hoping that someone had a plan.
Darkness settled in as lights came around the corner to fulfill their destiny.

Do you think the car has to take off it's wheels before entering the garage?

Dear architect, please build me a small house with an exterior that has two-toned lime green panels mixed with wood siding. Let's make the house roof flat and the garage would angle in opposite directions with a checkered opaque garage door.

Michael Jackson would need a small house for EACH of his purchases

How interesting to watch Micheal Jackson (RIP) who had unlimited money, go shopping.
When the companion asked if he had room, he replied it would go in another house.

Monday Multiple Series # 56- between the ferns

Here is one of my favorite houses around Como.
I happened to be driving by this weekend and the owner was bringing out two ferns to the curb.
I asked her if she had plans to leave the house and she replied,"never...but you can have a fern"
So I took one.

House Hunt Series #8: Rock bottom staging errors

This week in house hunting unearthed a few beauties in St. Paul.

Be leery of panorama shots.

Always expect it to be small.

The "ombre" garage door.

Keep the rock collection in a box.
The no-maintenance lawn.

In the dark

It's October 1st at 4:45 a.m. and I can't see anything. Is my house empty?

No, I see a bent candle,

and the silhouette of my favorite Halloween decoration.

Toss the candles and let the shadows do the heavy lifting for this holiday.
