Remain simple

The tiny tree as landscaping. The interesting arch that frames a rounded door
The cobblestone patterns in the street. The skylights on the metal roof.
The single string of ornaments in the window.

Multiple Monday payoff

Last week our realtors sent an email congratulating us on our one year anniversary in this lovely 950 sq ft h-o-m-e.

Thanks to all the Multiple Monday posts and purging we are so very very happy.

With no room for a large Christmas tree, we bought a lit branch that shines in the bay window. The beauty of this non-traditonal tree is that it lets light in and allows us to hightlight the ten ornaments we selected last year.

I am here to say that for the FIRST time that I can remember, I really enjoyed hanging these ornaments. No untangling the string of lights, testing bulbs or expectations of the family gathering around for ornaments they had no connection to.

This little box.
A few minutes of my time.
Showcased memories.
I love my little life.

Life can be found in just one room

My reaction leaving the nominated flick called "Room," may be different than other movie goers.

Perhaps others saw a mother and a child trapped inside a shelter for many years, yet the movie suggested that the confined area they lived in was actually nurturing.

The line on the movie poster claims " Love knows no boundaries".

As Jack reached his birthday, the mother, wanted more for him.
Was escaping the shed healthy and safer? Yes.
Was having the whole world now better for their relationship? It didn't seem so.

Some of my fondest family memories are those on vacation when we are jammed in a hotel or up at our cabin when we exceed bed limitations.

Brie Larson, the main actress tells Terry Gross on Fresh air tells that as a child she spent time in a small space and credits that time as one of the best periods of her life.

First class home inside a jetliner

Portland brings us another interesting house made from an airplane.
Not for me since I noticed him raking leaves.
