Small living that is portable.

Who says a tiny house has to be on a trailer?

I came across this attractive cube on inhabitat.

One large drape floods the space with light

Why do most traditional houses have 12 steps when 7 is plenty?
Lovely neutral walls frame the black kitchen--does one just eat on the couch?
One box of stuff-that's it.

Look at all the green space for a Bassett Hound to roam.
Do you think a minimalist would own a riding mower?

I would hire this architect based on their toilet paper holder design,

When the only thing blocking your view is a door.

Never ever make the bed.

Tiny white house

Cleaning my files and came across this folder of images.

Small house with a big welcoming entrance:

The centerpiece fireplace accented with one leather chair.
Combining the rooms make a small space look larger.

Minimalism to strive for:

Lots of windows for light and a no maintenance backyard.

Remain simple

The tiny tree as landscaping. The interesting arch that frames a rounded door
The cobblestone patterns in the street. The skylights on the metal roof.
The single string of ornaments in the window.
Remain simple.

No grass allowed

I have lost the fight to endless crab fact I think I gave it fertilizer to grow monster size.
Next season I am thinking native plants and places for bees and butterflies to hang out.

Note to self: a purple door looks great with sage green siding.

Small house made of stones

Little-stone-house-in the-woods
This was my favorite little house of stone as I drove through Wisconsin this summer.

Best small house design of 2015 awarded this 550 sq ft structure as this year's best small home.

First, find a picturesque hill near a remote lake:

Make a spacious bathroom with terry cloth robes for the B&B feel.

Find a table that is one piece of wood with industrial steel legs and burn calories as you stand.

Pack no trinkets, no paintings or artwork---just bring an animal skin for carpet:

The litttle spark

Our move is over, the 952 sq ft home is all fixed up...I should be content.

Then I see designer Kim Lewis and her tiny home.

Every LITTLE detail I adore.

Her house has room for two pets while we contemplate about adding a two car garage.

Why not just have just enough dishes?
Love the worn leather belt shelves.
400-sq-ft-home kitchen with few dishes

This bathroom...oh this bathroom.
The care of creating the floor tile that reads, "You look good".

The spark has been lit...this journey is not over.
